Q&A with PPE Industrial Supplies’ Stuart Archibald

PPE Industrial Supplies have offered friendly and professional services since launching eighteen years ago. We’ve been constantly growing since then, but have made it a priority never to lose the personal connection we share with our customers.

As one of the largest suppliers of workwear in Scotland, it’s important that our clients across the country know and trust us, so we thought you might like to find out a bit more about one of our Directors, Stuart Archibald, who started PPE Industrial Supplies back in 2000 and works to introduce new clients to what the company has to offer.

What’s your favourite thing about working for PPE Industrial Supplies?
The main thing for me is making sure all our customers are happy when they view their finished product. This could be a piece of branded clothing like a t-shirt or a hi-viz vest, and it’s important to me that all our products are finished to the highest standard, and delivered on time.

What do you look forward to doing in your free time?
Cycling, watching football, listening to music and reading.

Describe your life using film titles.
Paint your wagon, Exorcist & Toy Story.

What does your average day at PPE look like?
In the morning, I’ll check my emails and deal with any urgent matters. If anything needs my attention, I’ll see to it then. I’ll probably also annoy the staff for a while, just because I can. Then I’ll head out to meet with our customers, make sure they are happy and (hopefully) get in some new orders!

At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
I don’t know which store exactly, but it would definitely be somewhere in New York.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

  1. Watch Scotland at a World Cup.
  2. Go to New Orleans, Memphis & Nashville.
  3. See Stevie Wonder Live (again)

Dogs or cats?
Dogs

Tea or coffee?
Tea

How would your workmates describe you?
An enigma.

How would you describe your workmates?
Good people, who I trust.

That’s probably all you ever wanted to know about Stuart (and more!). Rest assured we noticed he described his life using the film “The Exorcist” which explains a lot, especially the head spinning first thing on a Monday morning.

We love meeting all our customers, and remember that although you can buy a wide range of PPE supplies online through our catalogue, you can also pop into our showroom and chat to our staff, all of whom can expertly advise you on the best products for your needs.
